The Ottawa Senators and The Canadian Tire Centre will no longer be requiring patrons to wear masks inside the venue, as of Saturday, March 26.
According to Senators president of business operations, the decision was made following consultation with local and provincial health officials.
“As has been the case throughout the pandemic, we've routinely liaised with city and provincial health officials before embarking on our own next steps of the reopening process,” Anthony LeBlanc said in a statement.

Patrons are also encouraged to take all health measures they feel are necessary to maintain public safety.
While the venue is shifting its mask mandate to 'voluntary yet recommended', staff and third party vendors will be required to wear the face coverings for the remainder of the current NHL season.
