McKenney makes mayoral bid official

Somerset Coun. Catherine McKenney made it official on May 3 and filed the papers needed to take a run at becoming Ottawa's next mayor.

McKenney, who has been the councillor for the Somerset ward since 2014, announced in December of last year they would seek the city’s top job. Key parts of their platform include Ottawa's homeless issue, walking and biking safety, transit and making Ottawa greener.
