Gas prices set to fall 4 cents in Ottawa on Father’s Day
There’s no better gift for dad on Father’s Day than cheaper gas prices.
According to Dan McTeague, present of Canadians for Affordable Energy, gas prices in Ottawa are set to fall 4 cents a litre on Sunday, June 19.
This will bring prices to around 200.9 a litre.

The news come after prices had risen a cent on Saturday, June 18.
The price drop is also expected for Toronto, the GTA, Kitchener, Hamilton, Windsor, Niagara, Kingston with Barrie and London prices going down to about 199.9.
Montreal, however, falls to 209.9.
According to GasBuddy, as of Saturday, the cheapest gas can be found at the MacEwen on Fallowfield Road at 194.6 cents.
This is followed by the MacEwen on Bank Street at Catherine Street in Centretown at 198.6 centre.

Coming in third is the Petro-Canada on St. Laurent Boulevard near Innes Road with 198.6 cents.
Costco on Strandherd Drive has gas at 199.0 cents while gas at the Costco on Roydon Place near Merivale Road is priced at 199.9 cents.
Experts believe rising oil prices will only contribute to more expensive costs at the pumps. Crude oil prices are up by roughly 60 per cent for the year, and much of the jump is due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
As prices continue to rise, all eyes are on the provincial government as prior to the election campaign, Premier Doug Ford promised to temporarily reduce the gas tax by 5.7 cents per litre for six months beginning on July 1.
