Ward 10 candidate brings political experience to the race

By CityNews Staff

As someone who has worked behind the scenes in municipal politics, Jessica Bradley said she'll be able to navigate City Hall and community issues on day one if elected for Gloucester-Southgate.

Bradley told The Rob Snow show with guest host Derick Fage on Aug. 17 that she's worked with current councillor Diane Deans in various capacities, from meeting the daily needs of residents to being a policy advisor on council files.

“I have the benefit of knowing the community really intimately and a lot of the people that live there,” she said.

When Deans decided not to run for re-election, Bradley realized she wasn't done serving the residents of Gloucester-Southgate.

“I've always been passionate about municipal issues and how they impact [the] community,” Bradley said. “Diane has been an amazing mentor for me.”

Bradley has since been knocking on doors and has discovered several priorities for her ward, including transit, new and affordable housing and improved public and outdoor spaces.
