One person dies following fatal collision near Hawkesbury area

The Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal collision that left one person dead.
On Sunday, Oct. 9, officers responded to a collision involving two vehicles, on County Road 17, east of Wendover in Alfred-Plantagenet Township, roughly 50 minutes east of Ottawa.
OPP said a 20-year-old from Cornwall was transported to hospital but later pronounced dead.
Three other people were also taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
The collision remains under investigation.
