By CityNews Staff

One week before voters head to the polls a mayoral hopeful has released his full platform, titled 'Change That Works For You. A Plan for All of Ottawa.'

The document includes mayoral candidate Mark Sutcliffe's policy announcements since he launched his campaign at the end of June.

The platform focuses on eight priorities:

  • Leadership for a safer Ottawa
  • Leadership for more reliable transportation and roads
  • Leadership to make housing more affordable
  • Leadership for a More Affordable Ottawa
  • Leadership for a cleaner, greener Ottawa
  • Leadership for a strong economy
  • Leadership for a revitalized downtown and ByWard Market
  • Leadership for a better city for everyone

“This is a critical election and voters have a very clear choice,” said Sutcliffe. “This document reflects how I will act on the priorities I’ve heard about from residents in thousands of conversations I’ve had in rural, suburban and urban Ottawa.”

According to Sutcliffe, the platform addresses real, everyday challenges facing people in our city.

Some of the the biggest issues faced by residents include fixing roads and transit system, community safety, and making life more affordable, added Sutcliffe.

“These are balanced and practical actions on how to make life in Ottawa better for everyone,” he said.
