Ottawa Hospital General Campus parking garage partially closing later this month for renovations

The parking garage at the General Campus of the Ottawa Hospital is undergoing maintenance starting later this month until of April of 2023. 

The parking garage and respective stairwells will be closed, except for the basement (first level) and parts of the second level.   

“We know, while necessary to ensure the safe functioning of our parking garage, that this construction work causes inconveniences for our patients, families and staff,” a statement from hospital staff said  “We are very sorry for any challenges this creates; we are putting in place transitioning and support processes and measures to minimize impacts to our teams and community.

The hospital is providing shuttle buses and making more parking spots available. Some staff will be moved to other parking lots  in order to make room for additional patient parking. Patients coming into the General Campus for appointments should arrive early, and allocate additional time for parking.
