67’s trade Ethan Quick to Barrie for seventh round draft pick in 2024

The Ottawa 67's made one final move ahead of the trade deadline in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). 

The Barber Poles sent forward Ethan Quick to the Barrie Colts in exchange for a seventh round draft pick in the 2024 OHL draft. 

“We thank Ethan for all his hard work with the 67's, and wish him the best in his future endeavours,” said 67's general manager James Boyd.

A native of Trenton, Ontario, Quick was drafted in the fourth round, 64th overall, by Ottawa in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection. He committed to the team in August of 2022, and appeared in 22 games this season, scoring a goal and two assists. 

In a corresponding move, the 67's re-assigned forward Steve Laforme to the Caledonia Corvairs of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL).

The 67's made some big splashes ahead of the OHL trade deadline, acquiring star forward Logan Morrison from Hamilton Bulldogs for six draft picks and later send nine draft picks to the the Saginaw Spirit for defenceman Pavel Mintyukov.
