Firefighters tackle blaze at construction site north of Greely

There are no injuries after an overnight fire at a construction site north of Greely.
Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) responded to a row of housing under construction on Esban Drive, between Paakanaak Avenue and Dun Skipper Drive, shortly before 1 a.m. on Aug. 15.
Multiple people had called 9-1-1 to report heavy smoke and open flames coming from the site.
Firefighters began a defensive attack and battled the blaze for over an hour.
The structure was unoccupied at the time and an OFS investigator has been called in to investigate the cause.
