All clear at Arnprior schools, no reports of guns found

Staff and students at multiple Arnprior schools had some scary moments, after a report of a person with a gun.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said it received a call reporting a person with a gun at a school in Arnprior, just after 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26.

Officers searched multiple schools in Arnprior, but said no weapons were found and there was no suspicious activity. All schools were cleared to resume normal operations.

Police continue their investigation into the report of a gun, and ask anyone with information to contact Renfrew OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8422.
