Whiteout conditions on Hwy. 401 towards Kingston, Ont.

Police are warning drivers to stay off the road as a snow squall creates near-zero visibility south of Ottawa on Sunday
The OPP is warning motorists of poor weather conditions along Highway 401 into the Kingston and Brockville, Ont. areas.
“Officers reporting to the communications centre whiteout conditions along Highway 401 between Kingston and Brockville,” police say. “Drivers can seek shelter at ONroute locations. If you can, please delay traveling in this area.”
There is a snow squall warning is in effect for those areas. Environment Canada forecasts it to continue through the day before moving south in the evening.
Environment Canada says there are snow squall watches, warnings and winter weather travel advisories in effect for portions of southern and central Ontario.
On Sunday, the weather service added Ottawa to the list of places that could be hit by a snow squall.
