Ottawa firefighters knock down balcony fire in Golden Triangle neighbourhood

There are no injuries reported after a balcony fire in the Golden Triangle.

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) responded to the 70 block of Cartier Street around 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, after a 9-1-1 call reporting the balcony of a top floor apartment on fire.

Crews arrived on scene, confirmed visible smoke and determined conditions were stable enough for firefighters to make their way up to the apartment in question.

Firefighters found a small balcony fire, which was quickly extinguished.

There was no extension to the apartment or building.
