Ottawa police seeking witnesses to fatal collision involving pedestrian

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is looking for witnesses to a fatal collision in the Metcalfe area.

Emergency crews responded to 8th Line Road near Walker Road around 2:37 a.m. on Apr. 28 for a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who saw the collision, witnessed a pedestrian walking on 8th Line Road between Van Rens Street and Walker Road around the time of the crash, or may have dashcam footage of what happened.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the OPS Fatal Collision Investigation Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 2345.
