Single-vehicle collision northwest of Brockville leaves two people dead

Two people are dead after a single-vehicle collision in Frankville, Ont.

The Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the crash shortly before 6 a.m. on Monday, June 10, after reports of a heavily damaged vehicle in the ditch on Kitley Elizabethtown Townline Road, just east of County Road 29.

The occupants, a 62-year-old man from Frankville and a 30-year-old woman from Brockville, were found dead when officers arrived on scene.

Police believe the collision happened several hours before the vehicle was discovered, as the engine was cold to the touch.

No witnesses have come forward and the cause of the collision is still undetermined.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with relevant information, including dashcam video, is asked to contact the Leeds County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
