Arrest made after ‘security incident’ at Bayview LRT station

One person has been arrested following a reported ‘security incident’ at light rain transit (LRT) station.
According to OC Transpo, a train was held at Bayview Station around 10:50 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, due to a security incident involving a passenger who was assaulting customers.
The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) responded to the scene along with OC Transpo Special Constables to investigate.
The OPS said in a post to social media, an arrest was made and there is no threat to public safety.
The investigation continues and there has been no word on possible charges or injuries.
Rail service continued to operate between Tunney’s Pasture and Blair stations, but only served the westbound platforms of Bayview, Pimisi, and Lyon stations from approximately 11 a.m. until 12:10 p.m.
