5 people displaced after bathroom fire in Greenboro

The resident of a home in Greenboro called 911 for a fire in the bathroom of their home.

The call came at 3:50 a.m. and they described flames spreading to the attic in their two-storey house. Firefighters went to the middle unit townhome in the 60 block of Havenhurst Crescent where they saw smoke from a distance.

Flames could be seen from outside and quickly crews declared a working fire to dispatch more resources to the scene. They advanced a hose line in the building and another team searched the home where no other people were found.

By 4:11 a.m. the fire was under control with victim services being called to help the five adults displaced from the blaze.
