One person extricated following head-on collision in Orléans

Ottawa Fire Services says one woman was extricated from a vehicle following a head-on collision in Orléans Friday night.
OFS received a call at 8:14 p.m. from police reporting a collision at the intersection of Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard South and Innes Road. Upon arrival it was confirmed that two vehicles had collided and one occupant was trapped inside. Both vehicles landed on their wheels with all air bags deployed.
Firefighters stabilized the vehicle and used specialized tools to safely extricate the trapped occupant. The process took 20 minutes.
The Ottawa Paramedic Service says three people were in the other vehicle at the time of the collision. The driver from the first vehicle, and one occupant from The second vehicle, were transported to hospital.
Firefighters spread absorbent on leaking fluids and disconnected batteries prior to clearing the scene.
