1 charged with impaired driving following multi-vehicle collision

The Ottawa Police Service is asking for witnesses to a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 174 to come forward.
It happened on July 15 around 10:15 p.m. east of Trim Road. Police say a white Audi was traveling westbound at high speed when the driver lost control. The vehicle struck a guardrail and crossed into the eastbound lanes. The driver continues moving westbound.
The Audi struck two other vehicles, a grey SUV and a blue pickup truck, causing both to enter the ditch.
The driver of both hit vehicles sustained injuries. One remains in hospital with critical injuries, while the other suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the Audi, a 31-year-old man, has been charged with dangerous and impaired driving.
