Search warrant in Barrhaven for child sexual abuse, exploitation case

Police laid several charges after they executed a search warrant at a home in Barrhaven on April 2.

According to a press release, officers searched the house in connection with a child sexual abuse and exploitation investigation. There, they arrested a 36-year-old man and found materials.

Nathon Merkley is facing five counts of failing to comply with a release order. He appeared in court on April 7.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
