Two locations investigated after downtown Ottawa stabbing

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after he was stabbed on Tuesday in downtown.

Paramedics detailed that they went to a secondary location to find the victim suffering from a stab wound. They were not at the first area where the stabbing happened, a spokesperson explained.

Police were called to an incident on the evening of Aug. 4 near the intersection of Daly Avenue and Nicholas Street. They found a man in critical condition suffering from the injuries.

He was brought to hospital where he remains in serious condition, emergency responders said.

Officials have not laid any charges in connection with the case.
