Shooting in Overbrook sends one man to hospital

Police are investigating a shooting that took place around 11:40 a.m. on Friday in the city’s Overbrook community.

In a brief press release, officials said they are on scene in the area of Presland Road and Lola Street near St. Laurent Shopping Centre in the east end.

Paramedics told CityNews that one person was found with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was stabilized by responders before being taken to hospital in stable conditions.

Police said no one is in custody in connection with the shooting.
