Mexico resorts where massive explosion killed 7 has been closed

CANCUN, Mexico – Authorities in Mexico have closed the resort hotel where a massive blast a week ago killed seven people, including five Canadians.
The 676-room Grand Riviera Princess hotel south of Cancun has been ordered shut down for at least a week.
An adjoining hotel is also closed.
Mexican officials say the closures are aimed at aiding their investigation amid suspicions a gas system may have failed.
Initially, it was thought the explosion was caused by swamp gas that accumulated under the hotel.
But, Mexican officials say there’s new evidence the blast was caused by a combination of methane and liquefied petroleum gas.
Reports say 450 guests were moved to different hotels yesterday.
