A car crash killed two women Sunday afternoon near Renfrew. Their Jeep Cherokee collided with a Ford F-150 at 4:30 p.m. on Chemin de Lille, right on the Quebec/Ontario border.
The two women have now been identified as 48-year-old Guylaine Lepage and her daughter, 19-year-old Michelle Berndt.
There were three people in the other vehicle. They also sustained injuries.
Cheneaux Road, which turns into Chemin de Lille in Quebec, was closed at Kerr line for a police investigation, but has since re-opened.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation, but road conditions may be to blame.
