The Ottawa 67’s are set to host the Peterborough Petes for their 2019-2020 home opener.
For the first time this season, the 67’s will play against the Peterborough Petes, who finished middle-of-the-pack in the OHL standings last season. Last year, Ottawa and Peterborough played a tight season series which lead the 67’s to finish with 4-3 in games won.
The game will take place on Sunday September 29 at 2 p.m. at the TD Place arena.
Andre Tourigny, the team’s head coach, spoke about how this year’s team is different from the last and expressed confidence in the player.
“We have a good mix of veterans and good, young talented players. We have a different mix than last year,” says Tourigny, adding that, “Our set was more veteran players, experienced players. Big guys. This year we’ll be smaller yes, but really talented. We are different, but we have a good team.”
After a couple of road games, the 67’s rediscovered its winning touch by scoring back-to-back shootout wins last weekend.
