Ottawa Public Health (OPH) is confirming a few new COVID-19 outbreaks at local institutions, including The Ottawa Hospital's (TOH) General Campus, as the city deals with 33 new cases of the virus.

Other new outbreaks have been announced at Manoir Marochel and Monfort Hospital's 3C unit on Tuesday.

Monday, OPH declared an outbreak at Monfort Hospital, but had hoped that the virus has been contained to the facility's ancillary staff.

OPH says cases of COVID-19 have been found in TOH General Campus' 5 West and BMT units, while the Manoir Marochel situation is facility-wide.

Other Ottawa institutions dealing with one or more cases of coronavirus include The Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus (A Five, B Five, and AMA units), the Ottawa Carleton Association for Persons with Developmental Disabilities – Settlers Ridge (facility wide), Maplewood Retiremenet Community (facility wide), Garden Terrace (facility wide), Promenade Retirement Residence (facility wide), and Park Place (facility wide).

Overall, Ottawa has seen 403 cases of COVID-19 — 36 are in hospital, 14 are in intensive care, there have been six deaths and 101 cases have been resolved.
