Ottawa traffic cops are on the hunt for impaired drivers and speeders in school zones.

Police have announced they're placing an added emphasis on those two dangers, this month.

Between 2013 and 2017, 213 people were injured in more than 800 collisions in Ottawa school zones. In the same time period, impaired driving killed 12 people and injured more than 600 others in Ottawa.

The Ottawa Police Service's Selective Traffic Enforcement Program chooses different infractions for added enforcement, each month.
