Ottawa drivers are set to see an increase at the gas pumps on Thursday, Sept. 29.

Roger McKnight, chief petroleum analyst at En-Pro International, tweeted on Sept. 28 that the price of gas at most Ottawa stations will rise five cents tomorrow to $1.539 a litre.

The Ford government implemented a cut of the gas tax by 5.7 cents per litre in Ontario on July 1, and prices dropped 11 cents on that day.

Gas prices hit a record $2.159 a litre in Ottawa in June.
