By OttawaMatters Staff

The Member of Parliament, whose riding includes LeBreton Flats, is keeping a close eye on the drama between players in the RendezVous LeBreton deal.

On 1310 NEWS' Ottawa Today with Mark Sutcliffe, Ottawa Centre MP Catherine McKenna said it's clear there is dysfunction between the key partners — Ottawa Senators' Owner Eugene Melnyk and Trinity Group Founder John Ruddy.

“It's unfortunate the way the relationship is. The second bid has indicated interest and they're going to look at their options.”

Listen to the full conversation with Catherine McKenna:

The runners-up in the bid to redevelop LeBreton Flats, the DCDLS Group, has told the National Capital Commission it's ready to take over the project.

McKenna said the conflict has put the NCC in a tough situation.
