OPP charge two people with assault after incident in Perth last month

Both accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 17.

The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following an assault investigation.

On Jan. 1 just after 1 a.m., officers responded to a report of an assault on Foster Street in the town of Perth.

On Feb. 5, following a thorough investigation, officers arrested and charged two individuals in connection to the initial assault report. 

Paige Dagg, 23, of Perth, has been charged with assault and public incitement of hatred.

Dillon Billings, 30, of Smiths Falls, has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault.

Both accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 17.
