Ottawa 67’s offering free admission to Sunday game in wake of storm

By Mike Vlasveld

In the wake of the devastation the Ottawa-Gatineau residents have suffered over the weekend, the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group (OSEG) and the Ottawa 67's hockey club wishes to leverage the power of sports, and the temporary escape it can bring, to provide support to their community.

As such, they will be opening the doors of TD Place Arena on Sunday to all those affected and wishing to take on some entertaining hockey.

The Ottawa 67's will be hosting the Peterborough Petes on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. and invite all Ottawa-Gatineau residents who are without power to attend the game for free.

Join us at TD Place Arena for a safe place to hang out and power up, with working washrooms and some food and beverage options.

To obtain up to four free tickets, visit www.tdplace.ca/promo-code and enter the promo code POWER. If you cannot access the Internet, you can redeem the offer at the TD Place Box Office starting at noon on Sunday where a member of our team will take care of you.

Tickets obtained in advance will also include free use of OC Transpo to and from the game.

Note that there will be no parking available on-site, with the exceptions of pre-purchased parking passes that will be honoured. We strongly encourage fans coming to the game to use public transit to make their experience as smooth as possible.

The team asks that, in lieu of buying a ticket, you bring clothing or cash donations which will go to help families affected by Friday's storm.
