Firefighters rescue pet from blaze in south Ottawa

The cause of the blaze has not been released. 

A house pet is safe after a fire at a home in south Ottawa. 

Fire crews were called to Esson Street, near Hunt Club Road and Conroy Road, just before 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18. 

The fire was contained to a second-floor bedroom of a four-unit row house. 

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the blaze has not been released.
