Ottawa firefighters rescue trapped driver after Queensway rollover

One person was rescued by Ottawa firefighters after a weekend rollover on the Queensway.

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) responded to Highway 417, near Moodie Drive, around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29, after a call from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reporting a single-vehicle rollover with a trapped occupant. 

Firefighters arrived to find a vehicle on its roof and the driver trapped inside. 

The person was safely extricated from the vehicle within five minutes of firefighters arriving on scene and they were taken into the care of the Ottawa Paramedic Service.
