By Dani-Elle Dubé

As the “Rolling Thunder” convoy comes to an end, Ottawa’s by-law says it has issued almost 800 tickets.

Since 7 a.m. on Friday, April 29, by-law has given out 771 — 761 of which were parking tickets and 10 tickets for noise, smoking and misuse of accessible permits, by-law reported on Sunday, May 1.

On Saturday, April 30, by-law reported that they had issued 420 tickets in total (417 of which were for parking violations alone).

This means that between Saturday and Sunday, by-law gave out an additional 351 tickets.

As well, in total, 39 vehicles were towed.

By-law and the Ottawa Police Service both say they will continue to monitor the streets in the downtown core on Sunday.
