Just over 24 hours after starting their enforcement blitz, Ottawa’s by-law says they have handed out more than 400 tickets to by-law breakers.
In a tweet issued on Saturday, April 30, the second day of the weekend’s planned events, by-law said 417 tickets were given out since 7 a.m. Friday, April 29 in relation to special event no stopping zones.
Since 7 am yesterday, Officers have issued 417 tickets and towed 30 vehicles in relation to Special Event No Stopping Zones in place for the motorcycle event this weekend.

Partners at the Ontario Ministry of Transportation stopped the vehicle, inspected it and was placed out of service.
In a warning issued earlier this week, the City said it would not tolerate unnecessary noise, public urination, defecation, open air fires, littering and lighting and discharging fireworks.
However, during the opening march that took place along Rideau Street on Friday, fireworks were discharged several times.
By-law has not made any mention of action taken toward those incidents.
Ottawa police also announced on Saturday morning that seven arrests have been made as a result of Friday events.
Without going into detail, police said charges were laid, with some involving assaulting police.
