Police arrest one person in connection to alleged online child luring investigation

In November of 2022, the OPP began an investigation into a report of online child luring that occurred in the Renfrew County.

Members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person after an investigation into an allegation of online luring.

In November of 2022, the OPP began an investigation into a report of online child luring that occurred in the Renfrew County.

As a result, police arrested and charged 28-year-old Devon Luckovitch of Brudenell Lyndoch and Raglan Township with the following offences:

  • Sexual assault
  • Sexual interference
  • Invitation to sexual touching
  • Luring a person under 16 of age by telecommunications - two counts
  • Arrangement to commit sexual offence against person under 16 
  • Indecent exposure

The accused was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Killaloe on March 8, 2023. If anyone has information relevant to this investigation, please contact Killaloe OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
