The Brockville Police Service (BPS) has arrested and laid charges against a 24-year-old man after responding to call about someone stabbing snowbanks with sword on Wednesday, Feb. 1.
The BPS received a call at roughly 10 a.m. yesterday about a man with a sword and acting suspiciously in the area of Pearl Street West and Chancery Lane in Brockville.
Police officers arrested the man without any injuries, and found that he was also in possession of two 12 gauge shotgun shells, a knife and a quantity of fentanyl.
He was held in custody for a bail hearing for the offences of possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of ammunition contrary to prohibition, possession of fentanyl and fail to comply with probation.
