Ottawa Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect and three persons of interest in connection with a July 7th swarming.
The swarming took place Saturday, July 7, around 6:30 p.m. on Rideau St., just before Sussex Dr.
The victim in the incident suffered minor injuries when the suspect took his Bluesfest access wristband.
The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s. He was wearing a blue or black windbreaker style jacket with a black shirt and pants at the time the photo was taken.
The swarming occurred hours before another incident involving a group of thieves pick-pocketing passengers on the 95 to Orleans. Ottawa Police declared that incident a “crime of opportunity,” not a swarming.
Police told 1310NEWS that there is no evidence the two incidents are related at this time.
