K9 unit helps in Westboro break and enter arrest

A 40-year-old Ottawa man is facing charges after a break-in at a business on Richmond Road near Churchill Avenue.
The Ottawa Police Service was called to the scene of the crime around 2:17 a.m. on Tuesday.
The suspect had fled the scene before officers arrived, so the K9 unit was brought in to contained the area.
The K9 track was successful and an arrest was made.
Police said a large quantity of stolen merchandise was recovered.
Johnathon Robinson is charged with:
– Break and enter and commit place other than dwelling
– Mischief to property under $5,000
Robinson appeared in court Tuesday, with more charges pending.
