UPDATE: OPP say a body has been recovered in Elizabethtown Township

UPDATE: The Ontario Provincial Police have confirmed that they have recovered a body in the water.

The Underwater Search and Recovery Unit made the discovery on Tuesday, June 15 around 3:30 p.m.

No foul play is suspected.

Members of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are continuing the search for a man who went missing in the water in Elizabethtown Township.

The OPP says a 31-year-old man jumped from a boat near Butternut Bay, around 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, and never resurfaced.

Officers have been searching the area with the help of the Leeds and Grenville Marine Unit and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre.

The Underwater Search and Recovery Unit has also responded.
