Gatineau police are asking for the public's help to find an 87-year-old woman, who has gone missing.

Officer say Marielle Fecteau, 87, was last seen Monday, November 9, before leaving her home in the Aylmer area to go for a drive near Wakefield in the late afternoon.

Fecteau is described as:

  • White
  • 5' 7''
  • 150 lbs
  • Short white hair
  • Silver coloured glasses
  • Speaks French
  • Was wearing a yellow t-shirt, a blue blouse, and black pants with grey sneakers

Fecteau is believed to be driving a grey 2007 Volkswagen Jetta, which has recently been repainted. The vehicle is registered in Quebec, with the plate number 164 BXB.

Police say Fecteau could have headed for the Montreal area, where she is from.

Officers and her relatives have reason to fear for the health and safety of Fecteau, since she gets disoriented at times. Anyone with information about Fecteau is invited to call 819-246-0222.
