Some bad luck for the gaming area at the Rideau Carleton Raceway – it’s closed until further notice. The slots building at Rideau was struck by lighting during the massive thunderstorm Monday morning, which caused problems for the surveillance system.
On Tuesday the surveillance system failed, compromising the integrity of the gambling machines, which means the gaming area can’t open. OLG officials say they aren’t sure when the problem will be fixed, but people can call 613-822-8668 for more information.
