Osgoode fires unrelated

Two fires at the same Osgoode house have been declared unrelated. Ottawa Fire’s Marc Messier telling the Citizen the fires happened at different locations in the same house.
A small electrical fire caused $5000 damage on Friday and was quickly extinguished. Hydro was also shut off. Then on Saturday, the house was destroyed by a second fire.
Ottawa police arson unit is investigating the Saturday fire, but they are not calling it suspicious yet. Officials are struggling to determine the cause since the blaze cause floors in the house to collapse.
