Ottawa Race Weekend gets title sponsor

A big win for the 2012 Ottawa Race Weekend. The Citizen reports Tamarack Homes has signed on as a title sponsor for the next five years. That means Canada’s largest road race festival will be known as the Tamarack Homes Ottawa Race Weekend.

Last year, the race weekend welcomed 40 thousand participants for the marathon, half marathon and 2-5 and 10 kilometre races as well as the Y kids marathon races.

Race director Jim Robinson says having a title sponsor provides them with some much needed long term financial footing.
