Four more complaints about Dr. Christiane Farazli have come to light, while the debate continues over the handling of the medical scare by the Ottawa Public Health Department.
Four more patients had complaints investigated by the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons, while a special committee looked into another woman’s claims, according to the Sun.
Meanwhile, councillors who are on the health board are backing Dr. Isra Levy and his handling of the initial warning, which contained no specific information in the letters sent to 6,800 people.
However, Health Minister Deb Matthews said the panic created was unnecessary. She told the Citizen she hadn’t spoken to Dr. Levy specifically but says she thinks it was a lesson in how to communicate better.
