Weekend homicide victim described as “ambitious and outgoing”

The city’s tenth homicide victim of the year has been described by a friend as “ambitious and outgoing”.

The victim, 34 year-old Eric Vongviset was a convicted drug dealer and arsonist with a long rap sheet.

However despite his past Vongviset’s friend Marc Clairoux told the Sun his friend had turned his life around and was always working on another business venture.

He said Vongviset’s latest project was cooking elaborate meals for people at their homes.

Vongviset was gunned down shortly early Sunday morning outside his Barrhaven home.
