Burrows marks milestone in Music City

NASHVILLE, TN. (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canucks visit the Nashville Predators for the last time this regular season. There aren’t many teams hotter than Vancouver right now. The Canucks are 10-0-3 in their last 13 games but Nashville is 7-0-1 in their last eight home games.
The Canucks are expected to ice the same line-up that beat the Edmonton Oilers 5-2 on Sunday night, but with one exception. Roberto Luongo will start the game.
The Predators’ lone defeat on home ice in their last eight games was a 4-3 shootout loss to the Canucks on February 7th. Luongo made 37 saves in that game to improve to 5-0-0 in his last five starts in Nashville.
Canucks winger Alex Burrows will be playing in his 500th career game. The top line of Burrows, Daniel and Henrik Sedin have been red hot in recent games. The twins each had a goal and an assist while Burrows added two assists against the Oilers. The line combined for 16 points over the weekend in wins over Edmonton and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Vancouver trails NHL-leading Detroit by two points while the Predators are fifth in the West. A win over the Predators combined with a Detroit loss in Chicago would pull the Canucks even with the Red Wings for the top record in the NHL.
