Sens’ Anderson on the mend

Good news for Senators fans!
Goalie Craig Anderson, who is out with a hand injury, could be back on the ice in the next few days.
“First of all he’ll get back on the ice probably as early as next week,” said Senators GM Bryan Murray. “Secondly, as soon as he feels that he can handle a stick then we probably can give him some work and find out when he’d be ready to play.”
Anderson underwent surgery on his hand Thursday.
“He cut a tendon in his small finger,” Murray said. “It had to be repaired. It’s a matter of when the stitches and the tendon sort of heal up enough that he could get back on the ice. The doctor said [that he could be back on the ice] within a couple of days to stay in shape, stay ready to play.”
In the meantime, the Sens have recalled goalie Robin Lehner from Binghampton.
