Relay in motion marking Man in Motion anniversary

VANCOUVER (Rogers Radio Staff) – The Man in Motion is back in motion today.

Rick Hansen is taking part in a relay to mark the 25th anniversary of the end of his tour around the world that brought attention to spinal cord injuries.

Hansen spoke with Breakfast Television on CityTV about one of the highlights of the original event: Taking his wheelchair on the Great Wall of China.

“It’s a symbol that there’s no walls too big to be climbed, and when you’re actually there, living in the moment, it was just unbelievable,” he says. “Now it’s become a right of passage for many, many people with disabilities.”
