Belleville, ON. – The owners of Belleville’s “The Angry Beaver” are facing manslaughter charges, and liquor licence violations, after a woman on their staff caused an accident on the 401 following an after hours party.
Korin Howes, 23, left the bar in the early morning hours of February 6, 2012, got on the 401 in the wrong direction and crashed into a car driven by Shaina Harrison, 23, of Oshawa.
Both women were pronounced dead at the scene.
Phillip Sztejnmiler, 32, of Ottawa and David Stoll, 33, of Bloomfield were each charged with two counts of manslaughter and six liquor licence violations.
The Angry Beaver remains closed, and the liquor licence revoked permanently.
Sztejnmiler and Stoll will be in a Belleville courtroom again on July 26.
