Gatineau footbridge destroyed by arson again

GATINEAU – Another attempt to burn down a red covered footbridge in Gatineau’s east end has destroyed the secluded structure.
The fire started at the Brabant-Philippe Bridge just before 3 a.m. Tuesday.
The footbridge had been closed after another fire, last week, and has been the target of a total of four suspicious fires since it was built by volunteers in 2007.
The bridge was destroyed by arsonists in 2011, and rebuilt last year.
